EMERGENCY MEETING OF MEDC ON JANUARY 29TH
PLEASE MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO ATTEND
3091 Carson Ave.
7:00 - doors open
At the regular MEDC meeting on Tuesday January 19th, our club had 2 very important items on the agenda that needed to be discussed and voted on...
-The nomination and election of the 2019 officers
-Development of new committees
These items were not able to be addressed because we lacked a quorum. We had only 6 voting members in attendance.
The MEDC accomplished some amazing things in 2018 thanks to the creativity, energy and hard work of EVERYONE in the club. Most of Murrysville voters now know that "there are Democrats in Murrysville". However, we also discovered that as our membership grew, our ability to effectively communicate with each other and make decisions was somewhat chaotic and random at times. To address that, we are suggesting a new organizational structure of some standing committees.
Our next scheduled meeting on February 19th is also the date when the 2019 campaigns can begin getting their petitions signed. The members in attendance on January 19th felt that another meeting should be held before that date since we have some Murrysville residents interested in running locally. It's imperative that we are ready to support them.
January's hosts is Susan Stewart-Bayne and Debbie Watt
